MONTREAL – The country’s highest court has dealt a blow to Walmart Friday and ruled in favour of the continent’s first unionized Walmart employees in Jonquière. The decision, made public on Friday morning, ruled against the retail giant, which shut down its operations seven months after the employees were certified to join the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.
