Vancouver realtor suspended for role in Chinese New Year news ruse

A condo salesman involved in the February 2013 deception of TV news crews in a story about Chinese New Year buying in Vancouver’s real estate market has been fined and his license has been suspended by the Real Estate Council of B.C. By way of a consent order, Nicolas Hans Jensen admitted that he asked two employees at a MAC Marketing Solutions Inc. sales centre to change clothing and act as “pedestrian traffic” around the project model while he was being interviewed by local CTV and CBC reporters about the impact of Chinese New Year on the local real estate market.
